The OTSA would like to congratulate Paolo Zeppieri and Enzo Passarelli for finishing tied for 1st for the 2011 Open Fastball Division. The Top 10 (All Star) players (see below) from the 2011 Season will be receiving their prizes at the upcoming Awards Ceremony (see below) which will also mark the first event for the 2012 Season.

TLN TV Apperance on "Soccer Fanatics"

OTSA Executive Director Mario Recupero appeared on an episode of TLN TV's show called Soccer Fanatics that airs through out Canada. Some of the footage may still be available on our site under the Video/Audio section.
2008 Awards Ceremony

The OTSA gave away its fourth table in its history this year as Shane Forfar took home a brand new OTSA Tournament table for finishing first in the 2008 Open Division Tournament season. Free food and prizes were enjoyed by the players/supporters at the party as has been our yearly tradition since 2003.

2006 OTSA Fastball League Party
(Summer 2006)
The OTSA held its 3rd annual league party for all league members to celebrate the season with free food and prizes. Kappa Canada and Soccer Italia provided the prizes which were given away in a free entry league draw your partner tournament.
The OTSA's 4th annual FABI Championships Takes place at New Club Location
(Winter 2005)
The OTSA held its 4th annual OTSA FABI Championships in Mississauga at its new Mississauga Club location at Diamond Jim's Tap and Grill (see adult playing locations for a map). Once again players from all over North America and Europe attended.
OTSA /TLN Free Tournament at Canada's Wonderland
(Summer 2005)
The OTSA sponsored by TLN's Italianfest Festival and Kappa Canada provided a free tournament and "Play the Pro" exhibition at the festival that took place at Kingswood Theatre inside Canada's Wonderland Park.
TLN TV Interview on Table Soccer

OTSA Executive Director Mario Recupero was part of a 6 part interview on the Association and Table Soccer that appeared during episodes of TLN TV's show called Macho Mondays that aired through out Canada during the spring of 2005. OTSA Article Published in the Toronto Star

The OTSA and Table Soccer Tour was again covered by Toronto Star reporter Garth Woolsey. The article appeared in the Aug 3rd edition Sports section of the paper and discussed the games attempts to be recgonized the International Olympic Committee.
2004 OTSA Spring Open Draws Over 200 Players

The largest tournament in the history of table soccer in the Greater Toronto Area took place at Centennial College (Progress Campus)Student Auditorium in Scarborough. Divisions included Rookie, Semi-pro, Open and 5 Team events in Fastball and Passage. Players from all over Ontario, Quebec and the Eatern United States attended.

OFA Officially Joins The OTSA

The Ontario Foosball Association/Babyfoot Soccer Toronto web site has officially joined forces with the OTSA and the OTS Tour. Bryan Eng, founder of the OFA/BST becomes a member of the OTSA player committee and Tournament Director with the OTSA Tour. Both organizations have been working together for some time but as of March 31st, the OFA website will be redirected to this site. The future of table soccer in Ontario is certainly getting brighter. Check back frequently for new developments.
OTSA Assists University of Waterloo

The OTSA was contacted by engineering students at the University of Waterloo to assist them with the 2003 Ontario Engineering Competition. These engineers will be developing an Intelligent Foosball Table. It will be able to play against actual players and it will be powered by artificial intelligence (AI). The OTSA will keep you advised of any devolopments in this area.
CFRB RADIO 1010 Interview

Mario Recupero of OTSA took part in a live interview with TV/Radio personality Michael Coren on CFRB Radio 1010, on 26 December 2002 from 12:00 pm to 1:00pm.
